I started feeling a little too smart just now so i put Buffy on. Beer Bad episode. It succeeds in entertaining without actually deminishing the brain sells that i so dearly need they help with my beauty sleep as well. | | 2:48 am |
I've always said that one night, I'm going to find myself in some field somewhere, I'm standing on grass, and it's raining, and I'm with the person I love, and I know I'm at the very point I've been dreaming of getting to. | | 2:47 am |
I understand there are inevitable things that we have to go through: heartbreak, famly problems. I don't feel like some quixotic idiot who says, 'We don't have to feel pain.' No! Let's feel it, let's make it work for ourselves. But I want us all to be able to get past it. | | 2:47 am |
Without pain, there would be no suffering, without suffering we would never learn from over mistakes. To make it right, pain and suffering is the key to all windows, without it, there is no way of life. | | 2:46 am |
If you have enough people sitting around telling you you're wonderful, then you start believing you're fabulous, then someone tells you you stink and you believe that too! | | 2:45 am |
Because I am a bad girl, people always automatically think that I am a bad girl. Or that I carry a dark secret with me or that I'm obsessed with death. The truth is that I am probably the least morbid person one can meet. If I think more about death than some other people, it is probably because I love life more than they do. | | 2:44 am |
I'm a woman who was raised to believe that you are not complete unless you have a man. Well, in some ways it's true. I am a feminist to a point. But I'm not going to deny the fact that I love to be with men. | | 2:43 am |
I think it's very important for everyone in America to realize right now the state of our country, not just on this issue but on a lot of issues, that it is time to get active again. People have just sat back and just sort of said, oh, let somebody else do it for a long time, and we're seeing what's happening to the country, even freedom of speech. It's not going well. So I think this is a real opportunity for people to see, yes, if you do get out and you do get active, there are other people there. You just have to seek them out. | | 2:42 am |
We stand now where two roads diverge. But unlike the roads in Robert Frost's familiar poem, they are not equally fair. The road we have long been traveling is deceptively easy, a smooth superhighway on which we progress with great speed, but at its end lies disaster. The other fork of the road—the one "less traveled by"—offers our last, our only chance to reach a destination that assures the preservation of the earth. | | 2:42 am |
It isn't just pop culture and fast food that is creating a monoculture across the planet... there is at least one other great destructive force at work globally, and this is the American management model. Leaders everywhere, no matter what their tradition or culture, are pressured to focus on numeric measures of efficiency and narrow measures of success, i.e. growth and profit-making... As these too-narrow measures roll out around the world, they create the conditions for large-scale destruction of cultures, habitats, and the human spirit. | | 2:40 am |
When I make the mistake of imagining how a whole poem should unfold, I immediately want to destroy that plan. Nothing should supplant the true act of discovery | | 2:24 am |
I finally got back to livejournal and started rediscovering my old favourite journals. So bare with me while i got comfortable. | | 2:22 am |
Has anybody else ever fallan in love with someone with out ever actualy knowing how. I've always considered myself straight, but now am in love with a girl as well as my boy friend. | | 2:22 am |
Sitting in black, she sat alone, Humming her thoughts, enhancing her tone. The night it was still, the moon it shone yellow. Allowing the sound of all, to be mellow. Shutting her eyes, sensing an allure, She smiled to her self, it was the end of the world by the cure | | 2:21 am |
Random thoughts i wrote while watching a documentary on primates..... The fact that males prefer quantity over quality, females have brought upon themselves the phenomena of the perfect woman, where as a male biologically is not particular who they copulate with. Where as females are after quality to enhance the opurtunity and genetics of there offspring. Males infinite sperm, females limited eggs, at the micro level eggs choice sperm sperm choice as many eggs as they can as quickly as they could. Most monogamous animal, song bird, males still sire over children to pass on there gene as well as satisfying other female birds whom are either without a mate or whose mate is inferior to oneself. Chips vs banobous Chips fight within each other Banobous, make love not war. Females copulate with all males in chimps Banobous enjoy sex. Banobous evolved from chimps, superior Evolutionary psychologists- past effect present Cultue sdoes not affect basic human sensations. Sex feels good, not because we want to perpetuate. Evolved brain makes profitable things feel good. Beauty Full lips Narrow jaws Short term woman prefer masculine Human brain evolved to attract a mate. Brain is better indication than physical. Cultural dispklaqys are for sex. Cuklture clean, sex dirty, art is there because of sex | | 2:19 am |
"Buildings burn, people die, real love is forever." stop and think, makes your world a better place. | | 2:18 am |
Body
BODY- Extreme living machine # Linguistic intelligence: The skill of working with languages and words. While some people can master multiple languages, others struggle to learn just one. # Logical-mathematical intelligence: Problem solving in a logical, Vulcan-like way. The form of intelligence most frequently associated with geek-ish book smarts. # Musical intelligence: The ability to think in terms of notes, pitch and rhythm, whether in the playing or composition of music. # Spatial intelligence: Solving problems visually, inside one's head. Navigation and orientation are the more obvious examples, but abilities in art, sculpture or design are also key. # Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence: Being in full control of muscle movements, hand-eye coordination and other sporty things. The opposite of awkward, klutzy behavior. # Interpersonal intelligence: The ability to pick up on the moods, feelings and emotions of others. Social skills. # Intrapersonal intelligence: Being aware of ourselves, our own feelings, and our own thoughts. |
